Time is always of the essence! I'm all about finding ways to incorporate a total body workout in the most effective way...part of why I love Pilates!
For me, planks are a great way to challenge not only the core or powerhouse, but honestly, the entire body. In my years of teaching fitness, I've learned that planks do not come easy for everyone, or for many, form is a major concern. Prep exercises with good alignment cues are essential to avoid pain and to build strength prior to holding these positions. After all, you are supporting your own body weight!
